A Time of Travail
A Time of travail in The LORD’s Birthing Room will provide an entry way (an enlarged place), in understanding the things of God, all the way to understanding everything that has to do with who we are and who’s we are.
Many times, we have been told that if we want to know more about our vocation and spiritual formation, then just serve and we will learn as we go.
Yes, it is essential for us to be connected with the community that we do life together with — but unfortunately I heard many say that “intercession is just a task for Intercessors!”
Well, where in Heaven’s name did the American Church come up with that concept?
Prayer, intercession and travail is a Priestly work that is intricately woven into the fabric of every Believer, and it is a major part of our spiritual DNA.
It is how we enter into the fellowship of the sufferings of Jesus Christ. Every servant leader must be a person of serious prayer, if not, how will we lead others
How will we understand fully our role in this wonderful Triune life?
How do we become sensitive to the pain we connect to daily? To Pray and cry out for others, concerning their lives, their loss, their needs and their survival.
It is strongly connected to the cross-shaped life which is our life in Christ Jesus.
It will include us, but it’s not focused upon us. For it will speak greater things than us even of things beyond us, things in the time to come that will outlive us and outgrow us, and it will go on for generations to come. It should be a legacy that we should pass down to our children.
Travail is a language that all men should speak.
“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” Luke 22:44.
“Therefore my loins are filled with pain, pangs have taken hold of me, like the pangs of a woman in labor. I was distressed when I heard it, I was dismayed when I saw it.” Isaiah 21:3.
“He sent from above, He took me, he drew me out of many waters.” Psalm 18:16.
““I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once.” Isaiah 42:14.
