I was in my Desert Place when one night I was attacked by a familiar spirit who kept reminding me about things that I had done while I was living in a backslidden condition. He kept talking in my ear and at first I did not recognize that it was anyone but I just thought I was listing to my thoughts. I tossed and turned and could not go to sleep and the hours went by until it was about 2:00 a.m. I remember the spirit told me that I SHOULD JUST QUIT PREACHING BECAUSE OF THE THINGS I HAD DONE BEFORE. I THOUGHT (HEARD) THE WORDS… WHO WOULD EVEN WANT TO LISTEN TO YOU AFTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?

Finally I realized that IT WAS NOT MY THOUGHTS I WAS LISTENING TO…. BUT A familiar spirit.

I jumped out of bed and begin to pray, getting my anointing oil and commanding the spirit to leave the trailer. After it was all over and I felt a wonderful peace come over me, I heard the Lord speak and say: REMEMBER THE SINFUL WOMAN WHO CAME WITH THE ALABASTER ANOINTING OIL AND ANOINTED MY FEET?

I remembered then that just that day I had read this wonderful story about her and the alabaster jar and the oil. YES… I REMEMBER I SAID… Well, He continued, she was condemned by the Pharisee but I want you to know I LOVED HER BECAUSE SHE LOVED MUCH. Explaining he said, THE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN FORGIVEN OF THE MOST WILL LOVE THE MOST.

I laid there and was so blessed I began to weep. Then the Lord said, IF I WAS THE PASTOR OF A CHURCH… I WOULD WANT THAT KIND OF PERSON IN MY CONGREGATION. THEY WOULD LOVE THE MOST.

At the time of this experience I had just been rejected by a Church and was made to feel unworthy because of my past sins. Even though I had been forgiven in my God Encounter in 1999, it made no difference to them. THEY HAD NOT FORGIVEN ME, NOR HAD THEY FORGOT ABOUT IT ALL. The condemnation continued. I was unfit to preach, according to them, because I had walked away from the ministry and the Lord, and sinned for some years. I had all but even lost almost my life…… For a minister that was a terrible thing they said, SO MANY PEOPLE WERE HURT. NOW YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MINISTER AGAIN?… YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO SIT BACK THERE WITH ALL THE REST OF THOSE SINNERS WHO ARE NOT FIT.

You must know this was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had with my Lord. To hear him say, I WOULD WANT YOU TO BE IN MY CHURCH MOST OF ALL IF I WERE THE PASTOR… just blessed my very soul and heart. He WANTED ME AND LOVED ME. He even said.. I WOULD LOVE THE MOST BECAUSE OF THE MUCH I HAD BEEN FORGIVEN FOR.

Oh, what a turn around… the devil had told me just the opposite!

***I share this testimony here with you because, perhaps there is someone reading this that HAS FOUND THEMSELVES IN THIS POSITION. You have even heard the devil accuse you, and familiar spirits rebuke you. YOU MAY BE BEAT UP AND DISCOURAGED THINKING YOU ARE NOT FIT TO SERVE THE LORD AFTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. Perhaps you are even SET UP ON A SHELF… thinking you aren’t wanted anymore.

Well remember this story. JESUS SAID… HE WHO IS FORGIVEN OF THE MOST WILL LOVE THE MOST.

Luke 7:36-50,
“³⁶ One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to dine with him, and He went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.
³⁷ And behold, a woman of the town who was an especially wicked sinner, when she learned that He was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment (perfume).
³⁸ And standing behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with [her] tears; and she wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed His feet [affectionately] and anointed them with the ointment (perfume).
³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw it, he said to himself, If this Man were a prophet, He would surely know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching Him — for she is a notorious sinner (a social outcast, devoted to sin).
⁴⁰ And Jesus, replying, said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he answered, Teacher, say it.
⁴¹ A certain lender of money [at interest] had two debtors: one owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
⁴² When they had no means of paying, he freely forgave them both. Now which of them will love him more?
⁴³ Simon answered, The one, I take it, for whom he forgave and cancelled more. And Jesus said to him, You have decided correctly.
⁴⁴ Then turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, Do you see this woman? When I came into your house, you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
⁴⁵ You gave Me no kiss, but she from the moment I came in has not ceased [intermittently] to kiss My feet tenderly and caressingly.
⁴⁶ You did not anoint My head with [cheap, ordinary] oil, but she has anointed My feet with [costly, rare] perfume.
⁴⁷ Therefore I tell you, her sins, many [as they are], are forgiven her—because she has loved much. But he who is forgiven little loves little.
⁴⁸ And He said to her, Your sins are forgiven!
⁴⁹ Then those who were at table with Him began to say among themselves, Who is this Who even forgives sins?
⁵⁰ But Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go (enter) into peace [in freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin].”
