A Strategy Jesus Highlighted for the Coming Year
I just released Prophetic Word: Ancient Paths and Time of Transition that includes an encounter I had with The LORD on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement).
If you missed that, be sure to check it out here.
In the prophetic word, I talk about The LORD opening up ancient paths that will bring rest to our souls.
This is what The LORD says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” Jeremiah 6:16 NIV.
To help understand this, the ancient path does not necessarily mean it is about old or ancient things.
These are the mysteries and revelations that have been hidden for ages and are now being revealed (Colossians 1:26).
Watch for new revelation to open for you in the coming months.
Narrow gate explained
Also, this year The LORD is calling us to enter the narrow gate that requires us to let go of things from the past in order to go into the future uninhibited.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13–14 NIV.
Since I had this dream and encounter on Yom Kippur, it is a major prophetic word for the coming year.
The LORD is releasing new things to us this year and a strategy to help us obtain it.
Matthew 7 revelation
During this Matthew 7:13–14 encounter, The LORD revealed more to me about a strategy given earlier in that chapter. Notice the process — before Jesus talks about the narrow gate, He gives us 4 keys to get there.
- Matthew 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” We will need to step away from judging others.
- Matthew 7:7 “Ask … seek … knock …” We will need to be proactive this year and not just wait on The LORD to open the door.
- Matthew 7:11 “How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” We need to get healed in our understandingthat God the Father is good and not angry and watch as new gifts come to us.
- Matthew 7:12 “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” We need to get rid of any unloving behavior towards others.
Then we can enter the narrow gate in Matthew 7:13–14 (NIV),
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
It would be good to read and study Matthew 7 to understand how to enter into the coming new season and year.
As mentioned earlier with Jeremiah 6:1:6, we will need to let go of old ways of thinking and “ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Blessings,
