A Servant’s Heart
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud,
A Servant’s Heart
Help me to see like You, LORD
As I sit here meditating on Your Word
For now I understand I truly do not live on bread alone
You are the bread from heaven
You are my water from a well that never runs dry
Reveal to me a different facet of Your Heart
One that gives me a deeper understanding of You
With every verse of Your Word I read
I go deeper within Your Spirit
Where I hang onto Your every Word
Where I breathe in Your very Breath
Where I bask in Your Glory and Peace
That surpasses all understanding
Where Your Heart is revealed
And all You ARE You have also placed within me
With each minute that passes
What I want becomes less
And what You want becomes more
Oh let me kneel at Your Feet LORD
A humble servant washing Your Feet
I am the branch and You are the vine
As long as I abide in You, You will abide in me
With every verse of Your Word I read
I go deeper within Your Spirit
Where I hang onto Your every Word
Where I breathe in Your very Breath
Where I bask in Your Glory and Peace
That surpasses all understanding
Where Your Heart is revealed
And all You ARE You have also placed within me
I see now the servant’s heart in You
Always faithful and true
Help me follow that path
To see others the way You do
And to have a heart that serves You
With every verse of Your Word I read
I go deeper within Your Spirit
Where I hang onto Your every Word
Where I breathe in Your very Breath
Where I bask in Your Glory and Peace
That surpasses all understanding
Where Your Heart is revealed
And all You ARE You have also placed within me
Help me to see like You, LORD
As I sit here meditating on Your Word
For now I understand I truly do not live on bread alone
You are the bread from heaven
You are my water from a well that never runs dry
Oh fill me with a servant’s heart
Let me kneel at Your Feet and wash them in love
Let me kneel at Your Feet and wash them in love
With a servant’s heart….
