A Season of Political Unrest and Dissension
In this season of political unrest and dissension, I have steered clear of posting political things, unless the very words have come from the LORD Himself.
I have continued doing this in spite of countless others, who continue to elevate their favorite candidate. I find myself continually ignoring and deleting various messages from others, especially when the facts are distorted and their passion is filled full of hate.
I do this because I see so many caught-up in their own fury and anger, and perhaps some of it is warranted; I understand that. But I also see the great division that it has ensued, and how some if not most, have taken their focus off of Christ, and placed it on a person that they think will make everything right again.
It seems that this type of thing happens every four years as yet another election season draws nigh. And this one is perhaps more important, or at least as equally important as any other elections have been in the past many years.
While it’s true that we stand upon a precipice of important decisions and directions for this country of ours, it’s equally important, if not more, that we reflect upon our own actions and search our hearts to see how our passions have now been misplaced.
These things cause such a stir in our hearts and minds that many of us lose all sense of reason, and the ability to even listen to one another. Those that I thought were mature have now returned to young childhood, spewing and vomiting their viewpoints out to the masses.
And we think that Jesus Himself, is happy with our responses and characterizations?
Anyone that disagrees with us, is an infidel, and should certainly be thrown out of our pious camp.
It’s like a scene of an army that with their swords and shields raised, march to the sound of their own drums. They’re ready to strike any who might disagree with them. They’re ready for the battle, no matter what the cost may be. They’re right, and everyone else is wrong.
Surely, they have their facts right, even when proven wrong? It doesn’t matter anymore about the facts, because the passions have risen so high, that the figures are outweighed by one’s own cause.
We do surely stand upon the precipice looking out at what is coming. What lies ahead may well not make our land ever great again, as some would say.
The pendulum’s motion has begun its swing, and in time, the final outcome will illustrate what will be.
Selah,
~ Stephen Hanson
Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Thank you Sir! I visit this site very often and sometimes wonder if those of us who say we are prophets of God recognize that God is neither democratic or republican. He is simply GOD, CREATOR and RULER! My responsibility is to pray for both candidates and vote according to the leading of HOLY SPIRIT!
May the Church of The LIVING GOD be realigned with GOD’S agenda for his will on earth as it is in heaven.
May I have humbly share with you an open letter I wrote – Party of the Lamb. May the Lord bless you for carrying no offense during this season.
