Winter can be a difficult time for many.

The lack of sunshine and cold temperatures can leave many feeling discouraged and dismayed.

The enemy is an opportunist, just waiting in the wings of our minds, to attack our identity!

Raise your head and look unto the LORD, for He wants to stop the enemy in his tracks!

I feel the LORD wants to bring encouragement to those who feel there is nothing great or special about themselves.

You are SPECIAL, just like a precious gemstone! Gemstones come in many shapes and sizes and no two are alike. If you think about it, how boring it would be if everyone were the same?

Cookie cutter humans with no defining features that set us apart would be awful. The only defining feature that we each have in common, is being made in our Heavenly Father’s image.

Our Heavenly Father cared enough about each of us to make us in HIS image, what a defining and wonderful thing to always remember!

Even more glorious a thought to relish in is the fact that we are IN him and he IN us when we accept Him as LORD and Savior!

I once heard someone say, “God doesn’t make junk” I totally agree with this statement!

The LORD spoke the following to my heart and spirit and I pray that it encourages you and confirms just how special you are to Him!

“Tell My children they are each a precious and valuable gemstone. As I formed you in your mother’s womb, I placed unique and precious qualities into you that no other person has.

Someone may say you look similar or act similar to someone else… but KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that you are precious and unique.

You possess qualities that I personally have given only to you! It is time to look beyond the window of comparison and see the true value and virtue that I have given you.

Close the window to comparison and look only unto me. If you are looking unto me, you will only see the precious stone that I have made you be!

Your worth and identity are solid when you stand and look unto me. Shake off the dust of comparison and doubt that the enemy has brought into your mind.

Know you are truly loved and valued by Me. I do not see as man sees, I see with My heart when I look upon you.

I see rubies, diamonds, and other precious stones each valuable and unique as I have made you to be. Beloved, you are My treasure!”

But you are God’s chosen TREASURE — priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones.

He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as HIS very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world, (1 Peter 2:9 TPT).
