A Plumbline in His Hand!
When checking the Building Walls one uses a PLUMBLINE to check to see if the walls are on the correct corners and vertically plumb.
The LORD is checking His Body with a Plumbline to see if it is correct. Action will be taken by the Master-builder to make any corrections necessary.
The correcting process may prove to be very difficult as the correcting hand of The LORD works!
“Thus he shewed me: and, behold, The LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. And The LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said The LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people……………..” Amos 7:7-8a.
Added Scripture of consider:
“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; very man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:9-15.
