A “Mustard Seed” Faith
The LORD told me in morning devotions:
“If one… small mustard seed of faith will move a mountain…. what would 100 mustard seeds of faith do?”
In other words, faith can increase!
Do not think only one mustard seed faith is all you need or can have, but know that faith can be added?
There is mention in 1 Corinthians 12 of gifts of the Spirit. One of the nine gifts is mentioned as: a gift of faith.
I heard that gift would be like God… Removing your head and pouring into your body “His faith” until you were full of faith… Then, screwing your head back on your body and you can run on “God’s faith” for as long as the gift lasts!
Though this is true, and God can pour into us His faith [and He does freely give as the Holy Spirit does give)… we also know that the scripture does teach:
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
Well, as one hears the Word of God… Faith is increased.
“Study to show yourselves approved unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Notice: Study… Why? Answer: because faith will come of the study.
Faith increased to more than just one little seed. Increasing faith!
