A two-part posting on The Anointing of God, and who He chooses.

A More Powerful Anointing

We have noticed, just recently, a new, much more powerful, Anointing being released, mainly to revivalist pastors or leaders.

This anointing seems to carry a purity, great authority, and great charisma. In the past few days we have watched it manifest, and we have seen it apparently taken away.

We have seen it manifest in one Church, as the pastor preached, and we have watched it slip, maybe fall away in another Church, again, as the pastor preached.

Help me here LORD!

This is a Mantle of great Authority that manifests in the preaching as the preacher expounds God’s Messages in a new light, a new Revelation, from The LORD.

It carries the Glory of God’s Presence and we even saw The Glory Cloud form as one preacher spoke.

That The Glory didn’t actually fall on the meeting is a puzzle, that I’m sure The LORD will answer very soon.

I believe this Anointing will be given, rather like The Candlestick of Revelations 1-2, to the Churches and pastors where the hunger is great, and the heart or motive is pure.

It seems that it will be removed from those whose motives are not so pure, although the Anointing on individuals and their gifts will remain — the gifts of God are without repentance and they are for life.

The Candlestick of Revival shall be their most treasured ‘possession’, like their medal of honour, or their ‘seal of approval’, and they will cherish and protect it with great determination.

One pastor we watched, told a brief story. As best I can recall it, he had met or attended a meeting somewhere where there was a heavy Anointing — a heavy Presence — so he phoned the pastor where the Anointing was and said, “You have something there that I need. Will you pray for me to receive it too?”

All I can say is that he seems to have received that Anointing — as evidenced in his preaching this weekend — maybe even a double portion.

This Authority is coming to the Remnant Church, but it must be stewarded carefully and well, otherwise it may, like The Candlestick, be taken away again.

There is a Purity Anointing coming to the Remnant Church, unlike anything seen very much for decades.

There’s been one or two exceptions, but this Purity will be noticeable. (Hagin, Wilkerson, Wigglesworth, Bonnke, and others of their ilk all had it! But they were ‘one-offs’, special issues, one in a million)

It will be, like a relay baton, passable and it will be somewhat contagious in that The Holy Spirit will inspire those who don’t yet have it, to seek it with a pure heart and pure motives — and they will find it!

Part 2

Surprise!

In 1 Samuel 16 we read about how the prophet was sent to Jesse’s house in Bethlehem to firstly make a sacrifice then to anoint the next king of Israel — Saul’s successor!

The story is full of surprises which started when the journey was completed without Saul knowing lest he kill Samuel.

Next, Samuel took the sacrifice, a heifer, with him. It would have been far more usual for Jesse to have the honour of providing the sacrifice, but Samuel honoured Jesse by supplying his own sacrifice.

Such was the reputation of being prophet of all Israel, that the elders and town leaders of Bethlehem gathered anxiously at the gate, awaiting his arrival, and when he arrived, their first greeting was, “Do you come in peace?”, perhaps omitting the question of what they might have done wrong, that the prophet of Israel should visit them.

It was surprise after surprise — like all of David’s older brothers were also rejected — in front of the whole town who were invited to the sacrifice — until the grand finale, probably a huge shock to everyone, including David, and not least to his brothers, when David, the youngest, was anointed as the next king of Israel!

As The LORD said of Davids oldest brother, “Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but The LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7), so The LORD still does today, and He seeks those like David, with a heart after The LORD’s own heart.

So it is that, in this coming season, God is going to surprise us with a His choices.

God is raising up New Voices during this coming season. He is once again seeking out those men and women, boys and girls, who seek after His heart.

Education doesn’t matter, religious fervour doesn’t matter, ethnicity doesn’t matter, whether you speak well doesn’t matter — what matters is your heart and only your heart.

God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. He uses the ‘lowest’ to speak to the ‘highest’.

Did he not say, in His word, that “Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and children . . .’?” (Matthew 21:16).

The LORD is about to stand conventional thinking on its head by using those whom the world would not even consider to lead the gathering in of the greatest harvest of souls we have ever imagined!

He’s done it before — He’ll do it again.

Think of Moses who stuttered and stammered badly — he learned to speak to kings.

Think of Wigglesworth who started as an illiterate plumber — he learned to read and write and ended up a giant of the faith winning countless to The LORD.

Nobody looked on the likes of him to lead hundreds of thousands to Christ. So it will be in this next season — in Jesus own words, “So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.” (Matthew 20:16).

Do not be surprised at who is a leader, and who is a follower, in the days ahead. God knows what He’s doing.

He knows those He is choosing will do the job He is calling them to do.

Just praise Him and give Him all the Glory as we watch everything unfold to His plan, not ours — to His wisdom, not ours — and of His choice, not ours.
