A Little Reminder…..
Apostles are seasonal leaders to a church, a regional, or a nation.
They are not anchored persons naturally, because they are sent when God has assigned them to a place.
When God told me that I would be moving in the Apostolic mandate, His first words to me was, “You will be a nomad.”
The definition of a nomad is a person having no permanent abode, who travels from place to place usually seasonally; a person who does not stay long in the same place.
He explained to me that He will send me to plow and sow and then He would reap the harvest of souls.
He said to go in and take the territory for the Kingdom and build the believers up, set up the church government, and then move to the next assignment.
In reality, that is my passion. To do it just like God said, but one thing I am noticing is people don’t want the responsibility of dealing with the infancy stages of a ministry. They want someone else to do all the work and they step in without helping with the development stages.
If an Apostle is preparing a Pastor for the flock, that person has to step into the leadership training position so they can be taught and trained, but most of all, that the sheep must learn their voice and not just be accustom to the Apostle’s voice, because they are only there temporarily on assignment, until they are called to another place.
The Apostle maintains a spiritual connection to whatever they plant and they will come in when necessary, to help, correct and restructure the spiritual and administrative ground of that ministry, but they try to leave the daily responsibilities in the hand of the Pastor and ministry help they have placed there, to feed the flock.
There are far too many who say they are Apostles, but who are really just Pastors wanting to have a higher calling.
The mantle of a Apostle is this: they are sent! Sent to evangelize, plant churches, ordain elders, to open up new regions, to hear the true gospel. They are prayer intercessors, because they have to go in and dethrone principalities.
They are excellent teachers. They will prophesy. They change the spiritual climate and atmosphere where they are sent. They are pioneers and Kingdom reformers and they do the works of Jesus, healing, deliverance, miracles, signs and wonders.
Today those who call themselves Apostles are not making disciples of men, but their motivation is to build an entourage of people whom they can say they cover. They are not doing the works of the Kingdom, but making names and reputations that drawn men and women to them.
Apostles and Prophets have a tremendous task in this hour. Restoring the Kingdom of God back into the hearts of the people is a tiresome and great work, because men’s hearts have become so hard with pride greed and selfishness.
In this hour, you had better make your calling and election sure. God is looking for those who will be obedient, holy and a lover of souls, finding those with a pure heart so that they can be used is what God is looking for.
Apostles can’t become caught up in material things, because God will sometimes tell them to leave everything and go to another place. They can’t become so attached to the people that they can’t leave the people naturally.
Remember I said the spiritual connection will stand when the physical presence is not there. They have to walk by faith, because they have to trust God beyond what they see.
I’m just sitting here today and noticing those who can’t take persecution or warfare, murmuring and complaining because they don’t have luxuries, but unappreciative even though God is supplying their needs.
I’m listening to many who have not truly understood the sacrifices or challenges they would face.
Saying ‘yes’ to God don’t mean you won’t face opposition and trials, it just means God trusts you to stand and obey, even when it’s uncomfortable and uneasy and unpleasant!
