Lion Attitude Gets You Through to Trump the Foe!
Increasingly, GOD is plainly speaking and moving in amazing ways that cannot be mistaken.
It was in the last week of last year. I woke up just before 3.00 am and needed to get going again, in the tough terrain of the mission field “within the limits of the sphere GOD appointed [me]” (2 Corinthians 10:13).
But like Paul and his ministry team when their “trouble” came to them in Asia, I have been “burdened beyond measure, above strength” (2 Corinthians 1:8).
As The LORD Jesus Himself said, the spirit is willing but the body is weak. And so I thought to have a lie-in for a short while and meditate on The LORD.
Before long, I drifted back into sleep!
I only realised it when I was startled and woken by the very distressing, shrieking cry of a feline wild animal in the verdant vegetation around.
But I believe it was used by The LORD as my wake-up call.
(Hence I thanked The LORD, but also noted that I prefer a peaceful wake-up call by the angels and The Holy Spirit. Over the years, I’ve had that kind time and again — both solicited and unsolicited).
And so I decidedly sprang to my feet with one thing to do to beat the blues: give thanks; praise and worship The Father and The LORD Jesus Christ.
(This Spiritual strategy of praising GOD in the face of difficulty, I find, releases The Oil of Joy to remove mourning/sorrow, and The Garment of Praise to dispel the depressing onslaught of the spirit of heaviness).
After my routine preparations amidst praises, prayers and supplications, I launched into the deep darkness of the dawn — a perfect metaphor for the times we are in. Deep darkness. And the dawn.
“The people who sat in darkness have seen a Great Light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16.
“Arise, shine; For your Light has come! And The Glory of The LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but The LORD will arise over you, and His Glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1-2.
“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says The LORD of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My Name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His Wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.” Malachi 4:1-2.
On the way, as my custom is, I was fervently praying with other tongues, while lavishing the beautiful fluorescent moonlight and the glories of other heavenly bodies.
(It is one of the BIG blessings I greatly enjoy here in the countryside away from the city lights both locally and at my base across the ocean. Anywhere in the world, just too much light blinds the glory of the heavens at night — The Majesty of GOD displayed by the innumerable trillions of stars, planets and other bodies arrayed in different colours).
Up the road, Esther, a sister in a small village was already up and sweeping her compound as usual. She has a roadside stall for which she often requested prayer to attract brisk business.
(Eventually, with The Help of The Holy Spirit, I gently and joyfully thought her to fish, and not only be asking for fish.
Unbeknown to me, she indeed took the lesson and launched out into the deep. One day, a few weeks later, I was pleasantly surprised to see her at dawn in front of her stall pacing up and down, earnestly praying and praising GOD in a local language: “LORD, this morning I THANK You. LORD Jesus, You have done well. It is not by our strength…”
I was overjoyed to see the spectacle. I hugged her encouragingly and went on my way. Undoubtedly, I knew that The LORD wanted me to see The Blaze of His Fire I had kindled in her).
On this present occasion (when she was sweeping her compound), like Barnabas in Acts 11:23, I felt led to exhort her as well as give her some further warfare strategies and insights to stand and withstand the enemy.
(A short testimony at this point. Many months ago, her husband had been left for dead by a hit-and-run driver. He narrated the accident/incident to me subsequently when I saw him with half of his body clad in bandages and gauze from his left shoulder to the leg. He was in a very poor shape.
I prayed the POWER of Christ into his flesh and bones, and he was healed of all fractures and wounds! Hallelu-YAH! THANK You JESUS!).
I continued my journey, about 40 minutes on foot. As I was navigating the rugged, stony and sometimes squalid alleyways through the main small settlement in the area, I involuntarily looked at a house on my right. (It was Holy Spirit-induced).
“LION ATTITUDE“, screamed an inscription in brushstrokes of white paint on a front wall.
I had passed by that house the previous few weeks, but didn’t see the writing.
The Lion of Judah must be ROARING a very important message for me here. I gave Him rapt attention.
I looked at the time on my phone. It was 5:22 am.
Like you (or no?), it has been an extremely trying and testing season for me. I have known pain, but I have also enjoyed The Joy of The LORD in it all.
The Words of The Holy Spirit through Paul say it all for me:
“For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in GOD Who raises the dead, Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in Whom we trust that He will still deliver us,” 2 Corinthians 1:8-10.
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body The Dying of The LORD Jesus, that The Life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that The Life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-11.
“…I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation. For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us…” 2 Corinthians 7:4-6.
Like David’s sling-stone which struck down Goliath, The LORD Jesus shot me across the ocean into this mission to take down some giants. And, just like David, I had no prior knowledge of it.
But step by step, bit by bit, The LORD has been unfolding and fulfilling His Purpose and Plan.
As James (Jacob), the brother of The LORD did, I have made myself “a bondservant of GOD and of The LORD Jesus Christ,” (James 1:1) to do whatever They say.
Have attitude like The Lion of Judah
You have to have lion attitude like The Lion of Judah to make it through this jungle of life on earth. And you can only have it by following in His steps. Day by day, moment by moment, you must proactively seek and listen for whatever direction and instruction He is roaring to you.
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus The LORD, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in The Faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7.
The lion and the attitude
- You must be bold as a lion.
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1.
The lion fears no one, nothing. The lion does not give ground to others. Rather, other animals steer clear of its territory.
This is what and how we are required to be in Christ. Unlike the wicked, we DO NOT flee. We fear nothing.
“For GOD has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power and of Love and of A Sound Mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
According to The Law of GOD, the one who is to flee is the devil. WE are to submit to GOD and resist the devil and he WILL run away from us in terror; not the other way around.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7.
We have POWER over all the power of the enemy, (Luke 9:1; 10:19). When you OBEY and use your JESUS Authority, the evil one has to FLEE. No doubt about it.
Just humble yourself under The Authority of The LORD Jesus Christ and use His Authority.
When you use your JESUS Authority and Power often against the enemy AS LED by The Holy Spirit, he will “know” you and steer clear of you.
Satan testified this Truth about JESUS and Paul.
“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call The Name of The LORD Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by The Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Acts 19:11-15.
When you get into lion attitude and fight The Good Fight of Faith, waging The Good Warfare (1 Timothy 1:18; 6:12) with The Blood and The Word, the devil and his angels fear you, considering you in The League of Jesus.
And look what happens with such brethren (it is the stuff of lions!):
“The LORD of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with sling stones. They shall drink and ROAR as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like [The Sacrificial] Basins, like The Corners of The Altar.” Zechariah 9:15 emphasis added.
- You must eat The Flesh and The Blood like a lion.
Lions only eat fresh meat and drink fresh blood.
To have a lion attitude and make it, we must put all faith and application in The Flesh and The Blood of Jesus. (John 6:53-57).
Our LORD Jesus repeatedly said to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood; meaning, we must put faith in The Offering of His Body and The Shedding of His Blood on The Cross for our Redemption — Salvation and things that accompany Salvation. (Please see Matthew 26:26-28; John 6: 53-56; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
The Flesh and The Blood of our LORD Jesus Christ literally provide DIVINE Nourishment, DIVINE Life. For The LORD Jesus is “The Bread of GOD“, “The Bread of Life“, “The Living Bread” (John 6:33,35,48,51).
You can only have lion attitude by lion blood. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, (Leviticus 17:11). Chickens cannot have lion blood. And lions don’t chicken out.
It is lion attitude to devour and subdue
It is lion attitude to ROAR!
We LITERALLY get lion attitude by The Blood of Jesus Christ The Lion of Judah. This is The Miracle of Calvary.
You must be filled with The Blood of Jesus Christ so as to ROAR, devour and subdue! Hallelu-YAH! As written, “…They shall devour and subdue with sling-stones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like [The Sacrificial] Basins, like The Corners of The Altar.” Zechariah 9:15.
By The Blood of Jesus, get lion attitude (Jesus purpose, poise, determination, perseverance, strength, fight, etc.) “and not in any way [be] terrified by your adversaries,” (Philippians 1:28).
“But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify The LORD God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for The Hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.” 1 Peter 3:14-16.
Again, The Holy Spirit says of us through Zechariah:
“The LORD of hosts [Jesus Christ] will defend them; they shall devour and subdue with sling-stones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; they shall be filled with blood like [The Sacrificial] Basins, like The Corners of The Altar.” Zechariah 9:15.
Apply The Blood, and pray The Blood into your whole spirit, soul and body. And ROAR against the evil one with The Roar of The Lion of Judah!
Apply the Blood to, and pray The Blood into yourself and others by faith.
Just pray in faith always: “In The Name of Jesus Christ, I apply The Blood of Jesus to us, and I pray The Blood into us, to protect and preserve us, to be a shield around us, and to provide for us now and forever. Amen.”
The Communion of The Blood and Body of Christ
“The Cup of Blessing which we bless, is it not The Communion of The Blood of Christ? The Bread which we break, is it not The Communion of The Body of Christ?” 1 Corinthians 10:16.
Take The Communion often. You can do so after supper, and then sing praises to GOD. That’s what The LORD Jesus Christ Himself did with His Disciples, (Matthew 26:26-28).
As often as you take The Communion, you are invoking and proclaiming The Covenant Blessing of GOD by The Blood of Jesus Christ His Son.
Taking The Communion is a MOST SERIOUS and indispensable Covenant undertaking in Christ Jesus.
For It is The Cup of Blessing — The Communion/Fellowship (sharing) of The Blood of Christ, and The Breaking of Bread — The Communion/ Fellowship (sharing) of The Body of Christ.
The LORD Jesus said: “As of often as you drink It, in Remembrance of Me“ (1 Corinthians 11:24-25).
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim The LORD’s Death till He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26.
That is, invoking, activating The Sacrifice of Christ — The Shedding of The PRECIOUS Blood of Christ; The Offering of The Body Jesus Christ once for all. That “IT IS FINISHED!” (John 19:30).
Thus, as often as we take The Communion, we proclaim The LORD’s Death for:
- His Glory and Praise
“What shall I render to The LORD For all His Benefits toward me? I will take up The Cup of Salvation, and call upon The Name of The LORD.” Psalm 116:12-13.
The Cup of Salvation is The Blood of Jesus. As He said when establishing The New Covenant,
“… This is My Blood of The New Covenant… This Cup is The New Covenant in My Blood…Which is shed for many for the remission of sins.“ (Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:25).
Taking up The Cup of Salvation renders, glorious rousing and stirring praises to The LORD Jesus Christ.
- activation and manifestation of The Provisions of The New Covenant in His Blood for our Blessing as stipulated in The Covenant — such as:
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that The Blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive The Promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14.
“For you know The Grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9.
“He Who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32.
Another example is Psalm 91.
The terms and provisions of The New Covenant in The Blood of Jesus must be confessed in faith and obedience to be activated and manifested.
- devastating destruction of the devil and his angels. This is because the devil and the works of the devil were destroyed by The Blood of Jesus; by The Death and Resurrection of The LORD Jesus Christ, “TRIUMPHING over them in The Cross.” (Hebrews 2:14-15; 1 John 3:8; Colossians 2 14-15). Therefore, as often as you take The Communion on your tongue, yes, in your mouth, you proclaim and execute their defeat and destruction again and again and again. Hallelu-YAH! GLORY to GOD!!!
Five Twenty-Two
As I stated above, I saw the inscription (“LION ATTITUDE“) around 5:22 am.
I immediately thought to research Strong’s Geek522, which is “apaírō“, meaning: “to lift off, i.e. remove…hence, to take away; pass”. (GreekLexicon.com).
When you get into lion attitude to roar and fight for victory, and not recoil and give up/give in, The Lion of Judah, WILL suddenly clear the adversary out of the way for you!
Just as written, “The One who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their King will pass before them, With The LORD at their head.” Micah 2:13.
Early in the morning on Resurrection Day, the most eminent apostles left The Tomb of Jesus, in unbelief.
But not Mary Magdalene. She stuck around, “discerning The LORD’s Body…The Offering of The Body of Jesus Christ once for all.” “The Sacrifice of Himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:29; Hebrews 10:10; 9:26).
And, SURELY, The Faithful and True Witness showed up to show Himself to her!
(Mary was the only one who saw The Resurrected Jesus even before The Father! (John 20:17).
Don’t leave until Jesus comes through for you. As He has said,
“And shall GOD not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when The Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8.
When The LORD Jesus does come with the answer, will He find you still in the place of prayer and expectation from Him?
Many believers, both great and small, have chickened out of fighting in the place of prayer regarding President Donald Trump’s second term. But TRUE believers must remain behind for The LORD to show up! Hallelu-YAH!
Has He said it, will He not do it?
Yes HE WILL!
GLORY to The Lion of Judah!!
Lion attitude draws The Lion of Judah to our rescue.
Let’s put it on. Let’s get into it and fight on!
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1).
As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
Amen brother. Yes Glory to the Lamb of God and the Lion of Judah to our rescue. Thank you!
Oh bless you!! While I was reading all you wrote I felt the Lord saying: Tell him to write a book about his adventures with Me!!!….I was so intrigued by your writing style and vocabulary!! Please consider writing!!! Be blessed.. And I do actually roar!!! A warfare weapon!
