A Holy Moment Remembered
I dreamed again one night…..
It’s not often that I remember my dreams — but this one stands out.
Linda and I were in another meeting where we’d been invited to speak. I remember the people in the meeting had gone quiet and I was talking very quietly.
Suddenly, everything went silent, the air thick with the presence of God, heavy with expectation.
Now, I rarely, if ever, sing solo publicly, but I found myself singing gently –
“When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride
Were the whole realm of nature mine
It were an off’ring far too small
Love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all!”
I was weeping, everyone in the room was weeping! It was a beautiful Holy moment.
All you could hear was the gentle sobs of a crying, loving people — sat at The LORD’s feet, just weeping in His Holy Presence.
I expect there was a mix of repentance and re-commitment going on at that moment.
Each one turned to someone next or close to them and just hugged them — praying quietly together. My own tears are running again as I relive it.
I’d like to tell you what happened next but The LORD didn’t show me. It was as if He was saying, “You’ll see! In the coming meetings — you’ll see!”
Revival is that close today.
Indeed, the fire is lit already. It’s building, spreading, harvesting souls even now as I write, or as you read this.
My heart is so full, I can but sing again –
“When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride
Were the whole realm of nature mine
It were an off’ring far too small
Love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all!”
Amen
