A Glad Heart
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
A Glad Heart
A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance
A cheerful heart has a continual feast
A discerning heart seeks knowledge
Wisdom reposes in the hearts of the discerning
A heart at peace gives life to the body
A cheerful heart is good medicine
Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart
A kind word cheers it up!
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flows the springs of life.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
My son, if your heart is wise, My Heart too will be glad.
Trust in The Lord with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding.
The aim of our charge is love that issues from
A pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
My son, do not forget My Teaching,
But let your heart keep My Commandments,
For length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans!
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners,
And purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Blessed are those who keep His Testimonies,
Who seek Him with their whole heart.
Ohhhhh, with my whole heart I seek You;
Let me not wander from Your Commandments!
Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.
A glad heart
A cheerful heart
A discerning heart
A wise heart
A kind heart
A loving heart
A peaceful heart
Is a joyous heart that rests in The LORD!
