Some may not think that God would send a DROUGHT [or cause natural disasters of all kinds and storms]. Please read the following Scriptures:

“Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
We all know the story of Elijah and how he prayed and stopped it from raining for 3½ years. God answered his prayers and bankrupted the false prophets of Baal, and brought the problem to a decision,” James 5:17-18.

All the while the Drought was taking its toll, Elijah was fed and taken care of comfortably by the Ravens and a Brook of clear clean water in the Desert.

When Ahab accused Elijah of troubling Israel, then Elijah said… “It is not I but you who is troubling Israel by allowing the worship of Baal over God.”

The implications of this Drought teaches us that God can, and will, and did use the weather to bring down the enemy and bring repentance.

More Scripture:

” If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land,” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven,” Luke 21:11.
