Do you feel like the enemy is chasing behind you, harassing you?

Watch your words. Are you giving him permission? The Bible says you will have what you say! For the power of life and death is in the tongue.

We have been taught to say “Get behind me Satan.” But the Bible says, “surely goodness and mercy shall follow us,” (behind us) not Satan!

“But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men,” Matthew 16:23 (NKJV).

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD, forever,” Psalm 23:6 (NKJV).

We are to follow Jesus, the way, the truth, the life. He goes before us to make crooked places straight. He is in front of us and goodness and mercy is following us, (behind us) all, not some, but all the days of our life!

Our works do follow us! (James 2:15-18). If a brother or sister be destitute of daily food and one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled, notwithstanding ye give them not those things that are needed for the body, what doth it profit?

Even so faith if it hath not works is dead, being alone. Yea, a man saith he hast faith, and I have works; show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.

We follow the pattern, doing what Matthew 25 sheep do who are following the true shepherd Jesus, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked etc.

Goodness and mercy are following us we cease from our labors, and our works do follow us.

“I heard a voice from heaven saying,unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the lord from henceforth, yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labour; and their works do follow them,” Revelation 14:13.

God’s holy angels are a wall of fire round about us, and He is the glory in the midst of us. We are completely surrounded and covered by Jesus, the angles, and goodness and mercy follow us.

The devil is under our feet with his head being crushed … Sit thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy foot stool!

Under our feet Satan and all your foul spirits in Jesus’ mighty name! That is your place and that is where you belong and will stay in Jesus name!
