A Different Dimension
As I was reading about some of the Old Testament prophets this morning, I was struck by the relationship they had with God.
It was a relationship that very few, if any of us, have today.
They spoke with an Authority that very few, if any of us, have today.
Then I read a passage from a book on our God-given Authority and realised, by revelation, the link between Relationship and that Authority.
The power that these giants of Faith of old walked in is a whole different dimension that most of us don’t even begin to comprehend.
Within living memory, I believe Kenneth Hagin walked in that relationship and authority, and I believe Smith Wigglesworth also walked it too.
I believe Kim Clement walked close to that level of anointing too and maybe, just maybe, of the current clutch of prophets, so does Robin Bullock. A controversial list maybe, but it’s my view.
My real point however, isn’t to identify who does and who doesn’t walk in that anointing.
My point is to ask why more of us haven’t grasped the nettle and realised just how short we all fall from the standard that The LORD Himself gave to us when He said,
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.
He also said,
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19.
What more authority do we need. It’s the same authority with which earth was created.
God spoke — it became, it happened.
Job 22 says,
“Declare a thing and it shall be established for you.” Job 22:28.
It’s the same for us!
I don’t know about any of you, I’ve got it in my mind, but it needs to travel the twelve or so inches (30cm) into my heart.
I just can’t quite get my head around that sort of Authority, probably because I have not seen it, or witnessed it enough!
Seeing is believing after all.
I suspect that many will call me doubting Thomas, but I also suspect that near every single one will be in the same boat.
When push comes to shove, we’d all hold back a wee bit — enough doubt to defeat ourselves.
I also don’t know about you but I am consciously now praying for that level of Faith to be restored to The Church, starting in Me!
The Church has of recent years surrendered most if not all of its authority, and while a start has been made to take the Authority back, we’re still way short of the Hagin or Wigglesworth or Clement of yesteryear, and even they were a league or two behind Elijah or any of the Old Testament Prophets.
It’s time we all take a bit of authority back from the Usurper, and started to once again become the church Jesus designed us to be.

Powerful Word, my brother. Agreed, but I keep pressing in to get to that place. Let us truly learn to walk in that Kingdom authority. Thank you!
Yes and amen..so be it Lord
Amen. You have articulated what I have been thinking as I have been reading through Kings and now Isaiah.
But I don’t know how to get to that place.
