A Demonstration of Love!
Last night I had a dream in which this lady baked a sweet potato pie.
After she baked it and tasted it, she left out all the main ingredients. A man was with her and asked what happened to the pie, because it looked good but tasted awful.
She had choices: to either serve it, or throw it out and start all over again! Instead, she opted to blame it on the potatoes by saying that the potatoes must have been bad and tasted awful.
Webster’s dictionary states, “Chastisement is the act of scolding or punishing someone.”
The Bible says the definition of chasten is to correct by punishment or suffering : discipline If he commit iniquity — I will chasten him with the rod of men (2 Samuel 7:14 KJV) also : purify.
Interpretation and Revelation
As I was meditating upon what was wrong with this picture, I realized that God was saying that many who are being tried and tested in the fire in this season are not honest, have no integrity, and have a character which is deeply flawed, like the woman in the dream.
The man in the dream seemed to be upset about the results of this pie, rebuking her for how it turned out, but instead of acknowledging her mistakes, she tried to hide the mistakes by covering up what she had done.
Whenever God is making us and taking us through the process (fire) of life, He wants us to know that we are not perfect and He knows that we will make some mistakes in life!
But it is what we do with the mistakes when we make that counts in life! And, He dose not scold us when we make mistakes so that we or He is to beat ourselves up in life but to learn from the mistakes in life!
This is what I hear The LORD saying, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25)
Correction and rebuke are profitable for your own personal growth and development both natural and spiritual whether in your home, job, or spiritual life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 clearly let’s us know that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Further, that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes and being correct for those mistakes but the problem is when we try to hide them and cover them up, as though they are not made, just as the woman did in the dream, she who baked the pie and blamed it on the bad potato’s instead of admitting she forgot all the ingredients that would bring out the flavors in the pie to her guest!
Hebrews 12:5-13, warns the church:
“And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of The LORD, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom The LORD loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us , and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.”
Clearly this chastisement that God gives is a sign that we are sons and daughters and that He being a loving father loves us and wants only the best for us all!
RUN NOT FROM IT!
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Beautiful. Thank you.
So profound and so much to ponder on! Thank you!
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. So many in our nation has failed to prepare for the coming of our God this will be a bitter/sweet time for many who are making excuses as to why they made no preparations and as a result they shall miss the coming of the Lord! ~thank you so much woman of God this story sparked so much revelation regarding how we fail to acknowledge our mistakes and cover them up instead of coming to God in prayer~
A phenomenal word!
