A Daily Dose of Vitamin “H”
For many, believer and unbeliever 2017 was a year of turmoil and trial, myself included.
Honestly it was a struggle at times, to press into God’s everlasting hope this year.
The year came and went in a blink of an eye, yet at times I thought the year would not get over quickly enough.
Personally it was a year of intense pressure from various sources. The statement, “There is a message in the mess,” rings true in my heart from 2017.
Life is messy and undoubtedly a challenge, that at times seems insurmountable. The amount of people that I cross paths with in my job are too numerous to count.
However, the running theme this year and especially this holiday season was the lack of hope.
Christmas to me, is truly the most wonderful time of the year, but many people I spoke with hadn’t put up trees or decorated at all.
Many stated “they just weren’t into Christmas or the holidays this year.” I too struggled this Christmas and for me that is not normal.
This trend was very troubling to me and I sought the LORD as to why so many were tremendously lacking hope during what should be a joyous time of the year.
What is your message in the mess of 2017, I asked the LORD? This is what the LORD impressed upon my heart…
“Many have suffered loss and trial so intense that they felt such lack of hope for the future.
They attitude of “why bother” became ingrained in their hearts, minds and spirit.
The light of hope has gown dim in My people, for they too, have been under intense pressure.
2018 is to be a year of restoration and revival, but there will still be trials.
My people must be prepared and ready for the new year ahead! You cannot be the light of my hope to others if you are not infusing yourself daily with my words of hope!
A daily dose of vitamin “H” for HOPE is required in My people.
If they are not infusing their spirit man with My Word daily, they will not be able to extend my hope to others in time of need in this next season.
Dust yourself off my children, for I have not forgotten you or your battles in this last season.
My “SON” is on the horizon and it is now time to infuse yourselves daily, more than ever with MY HOPE!
Preparation is key in this next season. You are called to be a light in the darkness.
Be so filled with my hope that it overcomes the darkness that others are dealing with in their lives!
Be so filled with my hope that it busts the chains of those that are bound!
Be so filled with my hope that you walk into a room and freedom floods the atmosphere!
Be so filled with my hope that that the enemy drops his weapons at your feet in fear!
MY HOPE will dispel all darkness and you must be filled to the brim; overflowing to those around you!”
“And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it,” John 1:5 NKJV.
A Prayer to enter into 2018
LORD, I come to you with great expectation of the new year ahead.
Cleanse me LORD of all residue of 2017 with the blood of the lamb, Jesus! Let me cross over into 2018 pure and cleansed by your blood.
I choose to not look behind me, but look ahead with great expectancy of the goodness of the LORD!
I thank you LORD for bringing me through the trials of 2017. Forgive me oh LORD, of any trespasses and I choose this day to forgive those who have trespassed against me.
Let there be no grievance within my heart to hold me back from your call in 2018!
I will press forward into the future and infuse myself daily with the word of the LORD.
Let me be so filled with your HOPE LORD, that all will know of your greatness.
In Jesus name, AMEN
Blessings and HIS abundant grace to you!
