A Change of Garments
2020 has been a year that will go down in history.
Not one person went unscathed from some type of misfortune. There has been a lot of controversy in politics that affected the government, plagues that shut down the economy as businesses, churches, entertainment, arts, sports events and schools were all closed for a period of time.
Airlines, social gatherings and family gatherings were limited to a certain number of people. Face masks were required in public and social distancing was enforced in most states.
There were even arrests if people were too close in close proximity at social gatherings. It will also be know as a year of shenanigans and sabotage.
The only thing that wasn’t affected was the media which is communication through radio, television, newspapers and the internet.
Through it all, God did not change His Mind. He has a blueprint and a plan laid out for each one of our lives as well as our country as a whole.
Jesus said to expect perilous times in the last days, but in The Book of Acts Chapter Two, He promises that He will pour out His Spirit once again on all flesh.
Throughout The Bible there were always battles and adverse situations right before a breakthrough.
Many of you are fearful and these fiery trials have caused you to doubt Gods plan for your lives. You’ve encountered spiritual warfare on a level that you’ve never known.
As some of you know, my whole life has been one fiery trial after another. The thing that keeps me steadfast is that I know that God has a Plan for my life and I refuse to surrender, because I know that I will see the fulfillment of all that He has called me to do.
The LORD is raising up each one of you for this end time harvest. You may have been shaken to the core and are about to throw in the towel, but The LORD says, “Do not fear! I AM preparing you for a higher place. You’ve been designed to be a warrior and created to withstand the storms.”
At the beginning of the year, The Holy Spirit said to me, “Just think what I could do with a life that is totally submitted to Me”.
I understood what that meant. Not one of us are living up to the full potential to what Jesus has for us. He has created us for so much more but we have to be ready for it.
Every season requires a change of clothing. We have to clean out our closets to change the clothes from the previous season to the new season.
We have to discard the clothes that no longer fit us and change our apparel according to the temperature of the season that we are in.
The Holy Spirit is showing me that this is the time for a change of garments as we are coming into a new year.
Many of you are entering into to a new season spiritually. Some of you have outgrown your old wardrobe and you are being measured to be refitted with new apparel.
Others will wear ‘many hats’ as Jesus is trusting you with a greater capacity. Just as Jabez cried out to The LORD to enlarge his territory, The LORD is also going to give you what you requested.
The LORD says, “Adjust your apparel according to the seasons that I bring you into. Make wise choices in all that you do.
Make connections with people who are spiritually stronger than yourself, who could mentor you, encourage you and advise you.
Never allow those who are living in compromise to pull you down to their level. Many people don’t understand the place that I AM taking you to, neither could they relate to that spiritual level.
Allow Me to clothe you in garments of holiness and righteousness.
Don’t allow old mindsets to resurface, but allow Me to continue to renew your mind.”
Then The LORD spoke to me about people having skeletons in their closets. Skeletons in your closet could refer to past memories that you prefer not to talk about with anyone, a secret sin, or something that you are hiding from others.
The LORD says; “Do not allow hidden agendas to hold you back, but allow Me to release you from everything that is hindering you from advancing.
Allow Me to enter into every area of your life to bring wholeness, victory and restoration.
Allow Me to bring order where there has been disorder.
Allow Me to bring comfort where there has been discomfort. My love will fill those void places where there has been so much hurt and rejection.
Allow Me to heal your heart that has been broken. I will remove the fatigue and exhaustion that has been weighing you down and bring balance into every situation.
Allow Me to release you from the hurtful memories of the past.
I will restore the years that have been stolen in your life. Nothing from you past could disqualify you from My plans.
You will experience a new freedom as you remove those obstacles from your closet. You will then forget the past with all its mistakes and I will bring you into a fresh start.
Resist the temptations that will try to pull you back into your old lifestyle so that you will not become entrapped once again.
I will give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning as you release everything to Me. As you allow Me to purge your closet of these garments that are weighing you down, you will experience a new freedom and joy in Me.
I AM calling you to a higher standard,” says The LORD.
“Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested,” 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new,” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God,” Hebrews 12:1-2.
