“…..Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God” 2 Corinthians 4:4.

Why is it that some people think because they have a little money or a few things that it makes their life alright? They causally mention God every now and then and fit Him into their schedules by going to Church every now and then. They turn around on Monday through Saturday, only to go back to living in sin.

Spiritually they live life like a dog and it make God wants to vomit. They are neither hot nor cold but live a lukewarm life (Revelation 3:16). They do whatever they want, when they want to and think because they give God a ” little or some” of their time that He is cheesing about it and it makes Him, oh, so happy.

God does not care about you mentioning Him or calling His name and then literally dancing with the devil and living like hell all week long!

In Luke 6:46, He clearly asks, “Why call me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?” In other words, why are you even acknowledging Him and continue to live and do as you please? Why is it that others have to commit to living a life committed to God and others think they don’t have to live according to the Word of God?

A few dollars in the bank or a big house and car doesn’t mean that it comes from God. If you think that Satan won’t allow you to obtain things and money in life, you’d better think again! Just because you are prospering, does not mean it is from God!

The same way he tried to offer Jesus the world of money and prosperity, what more do you think that he won’t offer it or allow you to obtain it (Matthew 4: 1-11). He will do anything to make you think that what you are doing is of God, just to keep you in sin. All the while he is trying to kill and destroy you so you will end up in the lake of fire with him (Revelation 20:10). Satan has blinded many in the world with money and materialism. A lot of people think just because they have a dollar or two that life is all good. It may be good, but is not of God!

The Lord says in Matthew 6:33 “first seek ye the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all of these things will be added…” We can prosper and succeed when God is first in our lives, but instead of doing it God’s way, we want to bow down to success and prosperity and then try to fit the Lord in as we please.

Well He is not going to settle for second best! It is his way or no way! He wants to be God and Lord of your life. He desires to be first in our lives and not second to anything or anybody. So many have made “things and money” their idol god and are in denial about it!

In the final analysis, Mark 8:36 asks “what does it a profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” It doesn’t matter who you are and where you are! You can have billions or trillions of dollars, but if you leave this world after willfully living in sin day in and day out, and your heart is not right with God when you meet him in judgement, then in hell you will lift up your eyes.

We can accept and commit to Christ totally if we choose! We have a choice! We can either turn or burn. No short cuts around it!

“…. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” Hebrews 9:27.

“… And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever” Revelation 20:10.
