7 Mountain Dominionism
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple,” Romans 16:17-18.
“Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully,…” Jeremiah 48:10a.
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men,” 2 Peter 3:3-7.
I posted this teaching a few years ago, and now I see that the emphasis of this doctrine, has spread rapidly to these avenues of society.
For the original Word, see HKP article: “What Has Happened to the Land I Live in?”
While seemingly good in how it seems to be proposed, there are subtle details within its doctrine that actually betray sound scriptural foundations.
Those avenues identified are: Arts and Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media, and Religion.
There is a teaching and doctrine that suggests that through the governance of “super apostles” that there will be a worldwide authority given to shape and control our culture.
This teaching seeks to place believers in control of the aspects of business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, family, and religion.
There is nothing wrong with encouraging Christians to step out and to be involved in these facets of society and culture, but expecting a worldwide Christian takeover to take place is preposterous and not in line with the scriptures.
We are called upon to be “salt” in this world and to be lights in a dark world, but darkness still exists, and we await God’s kingdom, not our own.
Many still seem to think that those working in the government through a “chosen person” will change the very atmosphere of our nation, and make everything great for us.
Well, the “atmosphere” is certainly changing, but in ways that are deceptively setting-up a model of ultimate control.
This person will protect us, will build the most glorious walls, and will make us “great.”
These things may appear to be “good” and right, but unfortunately, Jesus has told us repeatedly in scripture that difficult days are coming.
We may change the “shell” of the institution, but the inside of the cup will still be filled full of corruption.
I am reminded of the Pharisees, and how Jesus scolded them,
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also,” Matthew 23:25-26.
And even “some” supposed prophecies that speak of how a certain person will make us great, have the content of these prophetic words “steeped” in these “7” mountains.
It all may seem right, but to the trained ear, using the deep ear of discerning of spirits, these words are flawed.
Now, having said these things and identifying where this all comes from, any one person or program, will never be the answer for these things.
Either way, my friends, the land will not be made “great” until the Rider on the White Horse returns.
Then that future Kingdom will be set up, and anything that man has attempted to build, will be wiped away.
Some go as far as to say that Jesus doesn’t want to come back until He’s accomplished the dominion of the nations.
While it’s true that Christ is coming back for a spotless bride, He will not come back to a world where a Christian theocracy has taken over and the Antichrist has been vanquished.
It’s simply not a scriptural truth that this world will be “cleaned-up” through the authority of governing apostles.
We look forward to new heavens and a new earth. We know that as we approach the time of Christ’s second coming that the world will become a darker and darker place.
We can’t change prophecy. We can evangelize and do what we can in our own corners of the earth to bring many into the Kingdom, but much of this world is under the prince of power of the air.
And while we have victory over him and his fallen ones, he still has the freedom to deceive and bring havoc upon many.
The Bible clearly states that in the end that Satan will rule the world and will cause all great and small to take the mark of the beast and worship him.
A remnant will be saved out of great persecution I believe, and will endure to the end, and then will be taken out.
We are told through this teaching that a great harvest of souls awaits, redeeming the entire globe to God.
With this notion, heaven is then invading earth, and a golden age is set up. What they don’t realize is that the stage is then being set up for the Antichrist.
Actually, all hell is being released, instead of heaven coming to earth. Then after a peace treaty that the Antichrist sets up, and then comes the end, and the return of the true Christ.
What many in the group fail to recognize is that they can’t control the entire state of affairs in this world.
All of culture and society can’t be redeemed, until Christ returns. I’m not saying that we don’t get involved in these different facets of society, but we can’t expect that our anointing, our wisdom, or governance, or anything, can cause this to happen on a global scale.
We are called to be salt in this world, not the entire seven-course meal.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
The Dominionist doctrine is dangerous. The Lord Jesus said that His Kingdomis not of this world.
