The Scripture in several places revealed how several significant encounters and results accompanied 40-day fasts and encounters.

“And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.” Exodus 24:18 KJV.

“So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.” Exodus 24:18 NKJV.

When Moses, The Man Of God ascended to receive the law and ordinances; the Scripture showed he was there for forty days.

When Moses had to ascend the second time to receive the law and ordinances, after the first table was broken, he was there another forty days.

“And he was there with The LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.” Exodus 34:28.

However, the second time was more revealing, something had happened to Moses after He had been up the mount for forty days; Moses had been transfigured that he didn’t know that his face shone.

“And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.” Exodus 34:29.

The LORD Jesus Christ fasted forty days and forty nights and afterwards came out in the power of the Spirit.

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred,” Matthew 4:1-2.

40 days of Moses being in The Presence of The LORD got him changed, enough to be transfigured.

Consider this :— the face of the earth must behold the sun for twelve hours to receive its full measure of daylight!

There are instructions of The Spirit Of God that’ll pull you into an encounter.

Sometimes, you are called and led to do a 40 day fast, or led to spend 12 hours before The Face of The LORD praying and beholding Him to be completely transfigured.

These are journeys in the spirit whose orbit you must complete to receive the full measure of The Light Of God that’ll transfigure you.

The LORD instructed the disciples to wait in Jerusalem till they had been filled with power from on high.

“And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.” Acts 1:4.

The Scripture speaks about the Days of His Power…

“Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” Psalms 110:3.

To rediscover the mystery of The Power Of God; a people must rise, willing and yielded to obey the instructions of The Spirit Of The LORD.
