Do you want to do big things for God?

Usually, the first step in our journey with The LORD is to walk through a time of deep, deep healing.

This time of year is called the Days of Awe. It’s a moment of hearing God more clearly for your destiny, especially for the coming year.

During this season, God will look at your heavenly books. All the days of your life were written in God’s book before even one of them took place.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be,” Psalm 139:16 NIV.

We’ve been given a choice to do the things God has written for us. But we pick up mental blocks over the course of our lives that keep us from entering into the fullness of God’s destiny for us.

Healing from rejection

“Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.” Luke 10:16 NIV

We can expect some degree of rejection for carrying the message of Jesus.

Throughout the history of revival, many past revivalists that we hold in high esteem actually suffered a great deal of rejection from the established Church of their day. This is so common that even Jesus was rejected by most people, especially religious leaders and even people in His hometown.

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was The LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes,” Psalm 118:22–23 NKJV.

You may have felt held back, rejected or even forgotten by The LORD. In this season, God is inviting you to get healed from a dejected spirit and come into alignment with His good plans for you.

Overcoming failure

Sometimes we get things wrong, make bad decisions or even move in the wrong direction. We usually focus on how many times we fail, but God has a different measurement for looking at success and failure.

“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,” Proverbs 24:16 NIV

We all make mistakes and lose our footing. But the difference between someone who has failed and a “failure” is whether or not they get back up. When you get back up after failing, you are no longer a failure but an overcomer.

Leaving pride behind

Pride can keep you from asking for help when you really need it, or keep you stuck in negative cycles because you don’t want to admit you may be wrong about something.

Before I began operating as a prophet, I had to go through some testing and healing of pride. Pride can cloud your vision and cause you to stumble.

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom,” Proverbs 11:2 NIV.

Ask The LORD to heal you of pride and clothe you in humility. This may cause you to walk through a time of testing, but it’s worth it in the end!

You can’t take the old into the new

This is a time when God is saying, “You can’t take the old into the new season.”

It’s time to ask The LORD to heal us of rejection, pride and failure. We’re all still in the process of cleaning up things from the past. But once we invite The LORD to help in the recovery, things start changing!

When we cry out, “Heal us Lord!” God will begin to move supernaturally on our behalf.

This is a time when you will walk in greater intimacy with The LORD.
