2015: God’s Faithfulness will be Fulfilled to Many!
IN 2015 GOD’S FAITHFULNESS WILL BE
FULFILLED TO MANY –
PROMISES WILL COME TO PASS
A Word by Al Thomas i
HAS GOD PROMISED YOU SOMETHING ~
THAT HAS NOT COME TO PASS?
Did you at one time hold on to a promise, but slowly let it slip away due to discouraging circumstances, a lack of faith or you simply ran out of patience? Or maybe you just plum gave up. We know that in this world there is no shortage of untrustworthy people. Call them what you want, hucksters, cheaters, thieves or connivers… each have one thing in common: They are faithless to their word. All of us have at one time or another been hoodwinked or taken in by charlatans. With the latter group, we learn by our mistakes. But you, (as a child of God) have discernment (Hebrews 5:14b). With God we learn by our failures and successes. Whenever we gain ground spiritually it is because we have trusted in the faithfulness of God and His Word. That is why is it so important to know what the scriptures say about God’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises.
HIS FAITHFULNESS IS UNCHANGEABLE
One thing is constant about man, he is always changing. Man often changes his mind and his word. The world is flighty, fickle and unreliable, but God never changes. Malachi 3:6 says, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” As I have observed this world, I am continually amazed at the patience of God towards the wickedness of mankind. If you or I were God (thank God we’re not) there may have been a few times when we simply would have declared to the world, “I’m sorry, but I gave it my best shot people. I gave you my Son, my Spirit, my very best…but you have not received me. So, this coming Tuesday I’m moving to the next galaxy to see if they might appreciate Me. Good bye. Oh, good luck.”
No, He will never do that because He is unchangeable and once He says something, He does it. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” God’s in this for the long haul. For you, for me and for any who decide to trust in His faithfulness. Whatever He may have promised you, hold on, cling to, confess and know He will bring it to pass. Don’t be concerned about when or how. God’s ways are higher than yours. Do not listen to the world, the devil or doubters, but God.
HIS FAITHFULNESS IS YOUR SECURITY
Your bank account is not your security. Neither is your home or your talents. Being ‘smooth, suave and sophisticated’ will not help you with the promises of God. Only faith will. Many Christians trust in their own abilities. Don’t trust in yourself, trust God. Many people trust in the flesh. Anyone who trusts in himself is cursed. Jeremiah 17:5-7 says, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”
Anyone who trusts in himself instead of God loses the ability to see when good is headed their way. Blessed is the man (you) who trusts in God. Read Psalm 1. Do not believe your feelings. Believe His word. Circumstances look dismal? Trust in His Word. Jesus hasn’t failed yet and He never will.
HIS FAITHFULNESS NEVER FAILS
So many things in this world are unreliable. Everything breaks. Cars, plumbing, appliances, etc. Brilliant scientists build rockets and they blow up. The genius of computers and the World Wide Web is brought to its knees by any hacker (or evil country). You can’t count on anything. But you can count on God and His word. Psalm 89:33 says “…I will not be false to my faithfulness.” 1 Kings 8:56 says “Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto he people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promises, which he promised by the hand of his servant.” God is reliable. Rely on His reliability. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Stop trying to figure out things… just have faith.

Isaiah 49:15-16 (NKJV)
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
