As we pass through a major shift in the last season and work through the many trials of transition, a lovely pearl comes to my mind as I gather my seashells and kiss summer goodbye with many beautiful beach memories.

I am pondering the many spiritual parallels we glean from the forming of the beautiful pearl hidden inside a seashell.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it,” Matthew 13:45-46.

In this parable the merchant is Jesus, the pearl is the Church, and the great price is the death of Jesus on the cross.

Pearls have been used for centuries as objects of beauty — but a pearl is the product of suffering!

It actually is formed when an oyster gets a grain of sand trapped inside and it irritates the oyster and the oysters responds by coating the sand irritant with layers of saliva and calcium.

Even in this time of transition, we have dealt with many irritants and upsets likened unto this parable.

Many changes are taking place in the hidden places of our heart that are producing something beautiful in us as we stay hidden away with The LORD for a time. And at His timing, we emerge a finished work as a lovely pearl.

The Church as we know it was formed from the terrible pain and death Jesus Christ bore on the cross for sinners.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her,” Ephesians 5:25.

“…. and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who ^[a]loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,” Revelation 1:5.

When I was first filled with the Holy Spirit, an older lady in the Church, walked up to me and gave me a prophetic word (one of the first ones I ever received, but never forgot).

She said, “Honey, The LORD wants you to know He’s making a pearl out of you,” and handed me a piece of paper with that Word.

I truly had no understanding of what that meant. But over many years have come to understand, it was part of being conformed to His image.

Beloved, September marks a mighty shift in the atmosphere around you.

Remember not the past, for it is now time to prepare to take hold of the beauty of this emerging fall season of many colors.

There is still much chaos around you at times, but The LORD is speaking softly in My ear saying, “I have brought you to a place of rest in Me, so that you might see yourself even as I see you.

You have already weathered many storms, changes, and irritations. I have walked you through many trials to bring you to a place on My Shore where circumstances will not decide who you are in Me, nor will circumstances affect your position in Me.

You have held My Hand tightly as I have led you to this point in time. Your willingness and your obedience shall continue to be a seal upon your heart.

You stand alone in your uniqueness and you are My beautiful pearl.

All who behold you will know you are a beautiful treasure that has been formed by the Master’s hands. You are My Creation.

It seems like you have been tossed and turned and you are unsettled. But know this, in order for you to weather the next season, some adjustments and realignments need to take place.

So understand it is part of your ‘becoming’ more and more like Christ and go deeper and higher as My Disciple.

Times and Seasons are necessary and designed by My own Hand. I AM bringing you into greater understanding to know and discern these times.

I know what needs to happen each and every step of your journey. Take comfort in that I AM the One who places you on the Potter’s Wheel so precisely that all of the cracks become mended and you are perfect and complete lacking nothing.

This has been a time when I held you in the palm of My Hand. I have kept you for such a time as this….

Increased Favor will follow you into the next era favor surrounds you and washes over you as you go.

You must begin to picture yourself as I see you,” says The LORD.

“And just like this picture depicts a peaceful setting, so will you abide and rest at peace in Me for I am setting you apart to recharge and refresh you…

Let your focus be reset and fixed on the narrow path with Me as a carrier of My piece in the midst of chattering chaos and shifting sands.

Never forget, I AM in you and you are in Me, and I AM the Prince of Peace. My peace will silence your emotions and it passes all understanding because you cannot obtain it any other way.

Even as the waves crash peacefully upon the shore, so shall My peace crash all of your fears.

Let not your heart be troubled. My promises to you will come into clear focus I have prepared before you a table in the presence of your enemies in a time of turning and churning and great shaking.

Know that remorse is turning to true repentance as hardened hearts are cracking and cold hearts are beginning to melt under the flame of My unconditional love that is being released.

Many prodigals are becoming homesick and opening their hearts to truth that will bring true freedom.

File this away as a time to remember as I AM turning the page and beginning a new chapter in your journey.

New challenges are on the horizon that will produce wave upon wave of My Glory.”
